I went for a walk last night, about 45 minutes. I had a headache, and the past two nights I had a headache I would end up trying to sleep it off. Though sleep is great and usually works to fix what ails me, I figured this time I'd give walking the ol' college try. After all, when I took a walk with Erich late Thursday night I managed to feel great right up until 5:30 a.m. so walking had to be magical again.
Nothing too strenuous, but it felt great and I broke a sweat -- and yes, my headache went away. I got really into it, swinging my arms, stretching, switching up the way I walked. I should really make a point to do this a couple of times a week. Maybe after a month or two of walking I can up it to jogging once a week, walking once a week, and then after that, jogging twice a week. I wonder when I'll fit in some sit-ups/crunches.
I'm thinking my headache might be due to the prescription on my glasses not being strong enough anymore.
In other news, I've been bitten by the L.A. bug and would really like to go tour about the area visiting regions of culture and adventure -- or at least just adventure. I have coupons that expire November 1 for the L.A. Zoo (giraffes!!!!!), the MoCA, and probably a few other things, so there's a deadline on those. There's also the Norton Simon, the LACMA, and the ever-lovin' Getty. My mommie wants to go to the Huntington for her California History class, and she said Cameron and Grace can go. Hi! I think as long as we alternate drivers on the other trips we'll be okay, especially since gas prices have dropped about 50 cents/gallon.
As for Hollywood, who doesn't love journeying on the Metro? I mean seriously. I'll force you to love it through logic and pragmatism. I've still never seen a movie at the Egyptian or the Aero, but every month I get sucked in by their calendars. And we've never been to the Believe It Or Not Museum! Well, I went to one in Buena Park, but not the H-Town one. Also, my sister and I want to go see Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D at the El Capitan. It starts October 20 and is something like $10. Whaddya say?
hell yeah, field trips!

From a practical perspective it's fantastic. For $3 I get a round-trip to Hollywood and I don't have to worry about traffic OR finding a place to park. Sure, the smells aren't fantastic and the trip isn't as exciting in the way of window-watching, but the aforementioned deal still beats it up and down the block
